So this past Saturday was our wedding shower. I got fucking blasted. I'll have some pics for you to look at but here's basically how it went...Got there around 11:30 with Josh and Joan. Josh is the chef. He fucking rules. There was no booze on hand at this point, but it was coming, soon enough. Me and Josh shucked some corn and he showed me the most amazing burgers I have ever seen or tasted. Ground beef, ground sausage, parmesean cheese and something else I can't remember. I have never had a burger that tasted this good. No condiments either, and that is amazing for me b/c I can't not have ketchup...on everything. Around 2ish all the ladies started showing up and just standing around and doing what ladies do at this type of event. Josh and I started cooking and the beer came. We then started drinking (this went on till about midnight). I'm too old to be up till 4 and 5 in the morning anymore. Me and Joan played this newlywed game that we destroyed, only got one question wrong. About 5 all the dudes started coming in and then it was complete game over...no more water in between beers...scotch? of course we can do shots of that, Dad. My Mom and Dad are fucking awesome and my mom only cryed a little bit when I told her she has to dance with me at the wedding. My dad just wears sunglasses and keeps it real. He has been wearing the Rayban Warfarers since before the first time they were cool...so take note you hipster fucks, you didn't start it, you just ruined it. I kinda feel like I'm rambling here so I will get to the point...I love my life, family, friends and (future) wife more than I can imagine I could ever love something. This day made me realize that it's not all about what you have tangibly...it's about who you get to spend your time with. (Even though I did buy a new TV yesterday). A few shoutouts...Mike and Keely, I cannot even find the words. Josh and Kim, thanks for being genuine, real fucking people. Everyone who was there and supported us, thanks for everything. And thanks for the presents. And thanks Joan, without you, there is no me.
Sorry for being sappy(ish).
I will have more fun the next time.
